About

About The Founder

For Jake Fletcher, land management has never been just a profession. It is a calling rooted in family, tradition, and a deep respect for the outdoors. Growing up on a large family farm in Georgia, Jake learned firsthand the value of healthy landscapes, abundant wildlife, and the memories that are made on the land. When that farm was eventually sold, it reinforced a belief that continues to guide his work today: every landowner deserves the opportunity to preserve and improve their property for future generations.

Founded on that principle, M&L Land & Wildlife helps landowners create lasting legacies through thoughtful conservation and habitat management. Drawing on more than 15 years of field experience, Jake combines practical knowledge, ecological science, and a hands-on approach to develop customized strategies that enhance wildlife habitat, improve land health, and protect the long-term value of each property.

M&L is more than a consulting company. Jake and his team work alongside landowners from vision to implementation, providing the expertise, equipment, and commitment needed to bring meaningful change to the landscape. Whether the goal is supporting wildlife, restoring habitat, improving timber value, or creating a property that can be enjoyed by children and grandchildren for decades to come, every recommendation is guided by one simple idea: leave the land better than you found it.

At its core, M&L Land & Wildlife exists to help families build something that lasts. Because great land is not measured by what it provides today, but by what it can provide for generations to come.

"We abuse land because we regard it as a commodity belonging to us. When we see land as a community to which we belong, we may begin to use it with love and respect." Aldo Leopold

Who We Are

At M&L Land & Wildlife, we believe every property has the potential to become something greater. Founded on a lifelong passion for wildlife, conservation, and land stewardship, we partner with landowners to transform their acreage into thriving habitats that support healthy wildlife populations for generations to come. With more than 15 years of boots-on-the-ground experience, we combine ecological knowledge, aerial technology, and practical land management expertise to identify challenges, create customized solutions, and bring those plans to life. Unlike traditional consultants, we don't just recommend improvements—we provide full-service implementation, from habitat restoration and invasive species management to timber and land stewardship strategies. Our mission is simple: to help landowners protect, enhance, and preserve the places they love so that future generations can experience the same connection to the land, wildlife, and the outdoors that inspired us to start this journey.
